The Coast Guard is still trying to find the source of an oil spill last week near New Orleans that may have released more than a million gallons of crude into the Gulf of Mexico.

The spill took place near the Main Pass Oil Gathering company pipeline system in Plaquemines Parish.

Three skimming vessels are recovering oil from the surface as the search for the source of the spill continues.

No on-shore impacts have been reported.
