A Louisiana Red Cross team is in Maui to assist with wildfire recovery efforts.
Five people flew to the island over the weekend, and four more are prepared to go.
More than 100 Red Cross volunteers are in Maui from cities nationwide, providing shelter, food and other supplies for people left homeless by the disaster.
Louisiana Red Cross CEO Shawn Schulze is asking any other volunteers who want to help out to get in touch.
