A former student at Lusher is suing a former teacher at the school, claiming he groomed and sexually abused her.
In the lawsuit filed last week, Chloe Riviere accuses her former 6th-grade homeroom and English teacher at Lusher Charter School, now known as the Willow School.
The lawsuit claims the teacher starting grooming her at age 11 and sexually abused her at 16.
The teacher isn't facing criminal charges because the police could only find evidence that the two had sex when Riviere was 17, the age of consent in Louisiana.
