NOPD Deputy Supt. Named Finalist For Chattanooga Police Chief

NOPD Deputy Superintendent Paul Noel is on the short list for the position of police chief in Chattanooga.

The mayor of the Tennessee city announced on Friday that Noel is one of the four finalists among 39 applicants.

Noel has been with the NOPD for 25 years.

The other three contenders are Chattanooga Assistant Police Chief Glenn Scruggs, Vancouver Assistant Police Chief Troy Price, and Atlanta Deputy Police Chief Celeste Murphy.

The chief of the Chattanooga PD oversees a force of about 260 officers.
