Louisiana hospitals are being allowed to mandate the coronavirus vaccine.
State Supreme Court justices unanimously ruled in favor of the requirements on Friday, saying private employers can fire workers for not getting the shot.
Lawsuits were filed against two Ochsner hospitals last October, saying their vaccine requirements violated the medical consent law.
A trial court judge ruled in favor of the hospitals before an appeals court sided with hospital workers.
Ochsner is one of Louisiana's largest hospital systems.
