Early voting is set to begin this Friday across Louisiana with the presidential election and several local races to be decided.

The expanded ten-day early voting period starts on October 16 and runs every day except Sundays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. until October 27.

In addition to the President, Louisiana voters will also decide on races for one U.S. Senator, six seats in Congress, several judgeships, the Orleans Parish District Attorney, and seven amendments.

Due to the pandemic, in Orleans Parish, a new early voting location will be set up at the Smoothie King Center to allow for social distancing and COVID-19 protocols.
