Saints Surge Past Chargers In OT, 30-27

Will Lutz made the go-ahead field goal in overtime and the Saints held on to beat the Chargers 30-27 on Monday Night Football in New Orleans.

Michael Badgley missed a field goal at the end of regulation that would have won it for LA.

Drew Brees passed for one score and ran for another as the Saints erased a 17-point deficit. They never led until overtime and improved to 3-2. Emmanuel Sanders hauled in 12 passes for 122 yards.

Rookie quarterback Justin Herbert threw for 264 yards and four touchdowns for the Chargers. Badgley also missed an extra point in the loss.

Mike Williams hauled in five catches for 109 yards and two scores as Los Angeles slipped to 1-4.
