The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's office will now be equipped with body cameras.
Officials announced yesterday that the department will receive body cameras for all patrol, traffic and civil deputies.
The new equipment is part of a five-year, million-dollar contract with Axon Enterprise.
Sheriff Randy Smith says officers could have the cameras as early as today.
