After Dip Over Weekend, COVID-19 Hospitalizations In La. Rise Again

Louisiana added 2,343 cases to its running COVID-19 case count Monday, bringing the total to 109,917 after the daily removal of duplicates and out-of-state cases.

The latest increase comes after state health officials reported over 3,800 cases on Sunday.

Following a slight dip over the weekend, the count of those hospitalized from COVID-19 increased by 43 to 1,600 with 208 on ventilators, up 24 from Sunday.

The death toll from the coronavirus stood at 3,674 with 23 additional deaths reported.
