The Orleans Parish School Board is going to have to reappoint Grisela Jackson after a slight faux pas.
School district officials announced Monday that the board would hold a special meeting today to reappoint Jackson after her initial appointment was too early.
According to reports, Jackson was voted to fill the board seat of outgoing member Ben Kleban back on June 11th, but the vote was taken four days before Kleban was set to resign, rendering the appointment invalid.
Jackson will properly take her place as an interim member beginning today and will serve for seven months, unless she decides to run for a full term.
