The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office says it has arrested the mother of a 12-year-old girl who was kidnapped by her grandmother last week.
Officials confirmed yesterday they had arrested Pamela Miller for being an accessory after the fact to simple kidnapping.
Police say Miller's mother Evelyn pointed a gun at security guards at Ochsner Hospital last Friday while demanding the release of her 12-year-old granddaughter who is autistic.
Miller said the hospital was going to send the child to a mental health facility and would not release her, so she used a gun to get her back.
