Louisiana's lone Democratic U.S. representative Cedric Redmond is among the lawmakers who voted yesterday in a historic move to impeach President Donald Trump.

As expected, Louisiana's representatives in the House voted along party lines with Republicans Steve Scalise, Ralph Abraham, Clay Higgins, Garret Graves, and Mike Johnson voting against impeachment.

The House held two votes, which ultimately approved two articles of impeachment against Trump for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

The impeachment process will now move to the U.S. Senate, where Louisiana's John Kennedy and Bill Cassidy will sit as jurors.
