Two Gretna Police Officers Fired Over AOC Social Media Posts

Former Trump Lawyer Michael Cohen Testifies Before House Oversight Committee

Two Gretna police officers are out of work following a social media post which alluded to violence against a U.S. Congresswoman.

Chief Arthur Lawson said yesterday the two officers had been fired for violating the department's social media policy.

Last Friday, Officer Charlie Rispoli posted on Facebook a debunked accusation against Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and made a comment alluding to committing a violent act against her.

Rispoli was fired along with another member of the department who liked the post.
