The community is paying their final respects to local icon and legendary chef Leah Chase, known as the queen of Creole cuisine.
On Saturday, a public viewing and celebration of Chase's life was held at the Xavier University Convocation Center in New Orleans.
Chase died on June 1st at the age of 96.
Mourners passed by Chase's casket and were greeted by members of her family.
