Tropical Storm Gordon is being used as a learning experience for New Orleans City officials.
Serving as a test run for any future storms, the city was ready to use real-time crime cameras to keep an eye on road conditions across the city. They also planned to monitor barricades that would have been set up at many intersections if it would have been a bigger storm
The Sewerage and Water board spent the weekend leading up to the storm by inspecting the pumps and making sure they were all up and running.
Of the 120 pumps, 116 are operational.
