Two New Orleans women have been booked into the West Feliciana Parish Jail after authorities say they tried to sneak drugs into the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola.

A body scanner ended the attempt Sunday for 21-year-old Kendralyn Perkins of Algier who was found to be carrying crack cocaine, heroin and other drugs.

Twenty-four-year-old Perrika Corner of the Garden District left when she saw what was going on but was arrested at her car and drugs seized from her vehicle.
