Metro Area Gas Prices Continue To Creep Up

CA Gov. Jerry Brown Raises Gas Tax Ahead Of Revised State Budget Proposal

It's getting more expensive to hit the road in Louisiana with a gallon of regular averaging $2.51 in New Orleans.

AAA reports the statewide average price of regular at midweek has climbed to $2.54 a gallon, up two cents from last Wednesday. The fuel is 36 cents higher than a year ago.

And, while $2.54 is high, it's almost 30 cents cheaper than the current nationwide average price of regular.
