U.S. House Majority Whip Steve Scalise of New Orleans is reported in fair condition after yet another surgery related to injuries he suffered when shot at a congressional baseball practice last summer.
Officials at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC say the planned surgery "went well" and that Scalise will likely remain hospitalized for several days.
He plans to work from home as he continues his recovery.
