The commander of the New Orleans Police Department's homicide unit is under investigation following allegations of making sexual and racial comments and touching male detectives inappropriately.
The New Orleans Advocate reports the NOPD's Public Integrity Bureau is probing the complaint filed against Lieutenant Jimmie Turner by Sergeant Peter Hansche, a former leader in the homicide unit.
A police department spokesman says Turner is now on desk duty pending the outcome of the internal investigation.
