The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting that claimed the life of a man in the Seventh Ward neighborhood.
Police say the shooting happened just before 7:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of North Rocheblave Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Antoine Brumfield, 23, lying in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are working to determine a suspect and a motive for the shooting.
