Suspect Surrenders To NOPD In French Quarter Assault, Robbery

Police in New Orleans say a man suspected of beating and robbing two French Quarter tourists has turned himself in.

Dejuan Paul surrendered to New Orleans Police Monday.  Police say Paul and at least three other suspects are accused of assaulting and robbing Bostonians Tim Byrne and James Curran on Bienville Street.

The victims are in town for the Unitarian Universality Association annual convention.

UPDATE: NOPD announced a second arrest Wednesday.
