LSU's Arden Key To Take "Time Away" From Football

LSU head football coach Ed Orgeron announced Wednesday that outside linebacker/defensive end Arden Key will "take some time" away from the team, but he is not leaving the Tigers.

"In consultation with our staff and his family, Arden Key has decided to take some time away from football for personal reasons," Orgeron said in a statement. "We fully support Arden in his decision and look forward to welcoming him back home to the Tiger family at the appropriate time."

Orgeron and Key will have no further statements on the matter at this time.

Key started in 11 games for the Tigers in 2016 during his sophomore season, breaking the Tigers single-season sack record. In 2015, he received Freshman All-American and SEC All-Freshman Team honors.
